About the Event

Descriptions: This workshop will introduce participants to the vision of utilizing robotics in the construction process. The Universal Robot UR5es will be introduced in the workshop. The participants will first learn how to program the industrial robot arm through using a built-in GUI programming interface, UR Polyscope. Then, a web-based offline programming software, RoBIM, will be introduced in the workshop. Through using the offline robot programming software, the participants will gain the basic knowledge of the implementation of robotics in the construction process, as well as get inspired to the future direction of construction.

13:30-14:00 Ice Breaking: Spaghetti Truss Bridge Challenge

14:00-15:00 Task 1: Column Build with UR5e

15:00-16:00 Task 2: Offline Programming Tool - RoBIM (Column Build Task Cont.)

16:00-17:30 Task 3: Truss Bridge Challenge in RoBIM
